Fireplace !

Nothing like sitting next to a fireplace in Fall & Winter months !
This design feature is associated with a lot of nice things like with warmth, glow & positive energy ! Now-a-days there is a very thin line between the actual functional fireplace & a piece of art. You can find one or custom make one to complement every design style you can think of for your home.

Here are a few modern versions of fireplaces that caught my eye:

 A modern & stylish room divider !

Compact , to complement the minimalist inspired style

A Style statement ... almost sculptural !

Simple & Clean lines to mimic the style of the room !

A sculptural style statement

A stunning focal point

The style & size to complement the space !

Dramatic !

Perfectly complementing the wall art !

Practical & Discreet !

Simple & Modern !

The fireplace has become a multi-faceted design element. It's no more just a heat-source...it's a piece of art, a sculpture, a room divider, a design statement etc etc. The style of the fireplace sets the mood & feel for the room.
I can most definitely picture myself sitting next one of these gorgeous fireplaces with a good book & a cup of hot white chocolate. Cozy up this winter next to a stylish fireplace !

Happy Styling !

  1. The majority of these fireplaces would not be very heat efficient and therefore good only in a mild climate - unless they are gas. Too bad, because they are truly beautiful, but in my climate, I am only interested in fireplaces that produce heat efficiently. It would be nice to see such an artfull collection of fireplaces that would be wood fueled and energy efficient at the same time.

    Hi Evelyn.
Thanks for stopping by & for your views. Yes, most of them should be gas. The logs that you will see are just props / accessories to that fireplace...there will be gas outlet somewhere tucked away in it ! :)

  4. Some really beautiful ideas here. We heat our home with a wood burning stove, and although there is alot of sweeping involved, I love the look of it and the efficient heat. I really enjoyed the photos on this post!
