Kids Room Essentials : Back-to-School Work Spaces

It's that time of the year when most of us experience a bitter-sweet feeling. A Carefree & fun-filled Summer is over and has given way to a Schedule-filled School year. The lil' ones fly off the nest in the morning only to return with a folder full of projects & homework in the afternoon. Most of us are scrambling to get that home-work station ready for kids ... making sure everything has its place & space !

Here are 5 key elements that I make sure to include when designing work stations for kids :
  1. Clutter-Free & Organized
  2. Storage Space ... a whole lot of it
  3. Bright { with tonns of Light }
  4. Lots of Counter space
  5. Inspirational & Happy
I want to share with you some of my favorite home-work or study spaces. They are all different in terms of their styling & themes, but all of them do have most { if not all } the 5 key elements I would like at the work-station.

Lots of surface area to spread out books, sheets , folders & stationery.
Luv the Wire baskets used to keep all supplies organized.

Allocated storage space for almost everything you may want to have within your reach.

Bright, Fun & Cheerful space to come back to for homework and projects

Plenty of counter space , lots of light & organized !

Desk next to a window is perfect to make the max use of light coming in !

Luv all the free counter space here.
And an entire wall to put up your favorite & inspiring pictures is a huge bonus !

Clutter-free & the Simple Shelving help keep things Organized

Bright, White & Pops of Color.

Organized & Well planned for Kids sharing a work-space.

These spaces are not only functional but also a happy place to do projects & school-work at. Hope you enjoyed the pics & are inspired to create a great homework station for your kids.

Happy Styling !
